7 Tips For Wedding Dress Shopping
Wedding planning can be overwhelming. We know that you have a whole list of things to check off. Here at Weddings With Joy in Olympia, WA, our goal is to make dress shopping your favorite part!
Here are a few things to consider when you’re getting ready to schedule an appointment to try on wedding dresses:
- Bring the right people! Typically, 1-3 of your closest friends or family. The more supportive, and positive the better.
- Be prepared to make the decision yourself! This is your wedding dress, if you love it, girl…do it! The dress you select will be absolutely perfect… I promise!
- Don’t be afraid to say yes at your first appointment. (Or even on the first dress!) Finding your dress is just like finding your person. It can happen anywhere and anytime! When you know you know!
- Trying on wedding dresses can be fun, but there also comes a time where you have tried on too many. It’s called dress fatigue…they start to blend together and it can make finding your wedding dress frustrating and difficult.
- Special order times are an important thing to consider. Typically, special ordering a dress can take anywhere between 4-6 months! We do sell wedding dresses directly out of our bridal collection as well so don’t stress, we can still find your perfect dress!
- Solidify your wedding dress budget prior to coming in for your bridal appointment! The majority of the wedding dresses in our collection are between $1400-$1800. That being said, we wholeheartedly believe the perfect dress is the perfect price!
- Don’t forget to bring photos of inspiration, but trust your bridal stylist as well. We strive to listen to you and pull more gowns based on the feel of your wedding and price point. Together we are the perfect team, and finding your wedding dresses really can be that easy!
